It takes the shape of millky white granules. Its average pore diameter is usually 80-125 angstroms. The specific surface area could be 300-400 m²/g. The above specifications may be different according to the types. It includes Macro-pored spherical silica gel, Macro-pored micro-sphere silica gel, Macro-pored lump silica gel, column chromatography silica gel, liquid chromatogram-use silica gel and activation silica gel.

Use

Wide pore silica gel is mainly used for the dehydrated purification of the industrial gases, the clearance of the organic acids and high polymers in the insulative oil, the purification and separation of the medicines and as the crystal cat litter, the catalyst or the catalyst carrier.
